Says an older woman (50-60ish) to her younger relative:
"Did you see the priiiiice?! I love coffee but I don't love it enough to pay $18 for a coffee cup!"
Then they both walk away with the $3 whole sale "crafts" they bought earlier.

Love those people. They add so much humor to sales.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet they probably pay $18 for their Vente amaretto mocha frappachino every morning.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's nice. Oh, wait, no it isn't. Actually it makes steam come out my ears. You have a very good attitude, that you can laugh at them. Jerks.
ReplyDeleteazzholes.....WALLMART nation indeed......
ReplyDeleteYeah, that is pretty much par for the course in this area. Luckily there were a couple people who actually appreciated hand made goods and I made enough to cover my expenses.
ReplyDeleteI loved the pottery I saw at SIC and did not think your prices were too steep. If I don't have to go to Indianapolis for work I plan on stopping by the Carbondale craft fair to take another look at your stuff!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Hope to see you there!
ReplyDeleteHey, I'm sixty one and I'm not older Ha ! yeah they spend $60 or more on hair dos and $20 for lunch and those are transitory expenditures, the cup will last a life time with continued use. The hair do and the food, gone shortly, well maybe not the food it might turn to fat. Ha.
